Carlos is a tourism industry professional with more than 15 years of experience. His proactive work across the public, private, and government sectors has established him as an innovator and strategist with strong relationships among tourism leaders.

In 2009, he moved from his hometown of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, to New York City to join the team at the Mexico Tourism Board's New York office. He later became Director of the TRADE Segment at a well-known New York agency, where he developed strategies for tourism destinations and travel brands.

In 2014, he founded ENroute Communications, which has become a breakout agency and a leader in representation and public relations specializing in tourism. Its clients have included Quito Turismo, San Miguel de Allende, Puerto Vallarta, the State of Yucatán, El Salvador, Costa Rica, and Patagonia, among others.

He holds a bachelor's degree in Tourism from the University of Guanajuato in Mexico and a master's degree in Tourism Development from the University of Madrid, Spain.
