Isaret Jeffers

Vive desde hace 23 años en Estados Unidos. Nació en Leon Guanajuato y dirige el colectivo Arbol desde el 2017 para ayudar a familias agrícolas inmigrantes que trabajan en los campos de Florida Central. Isaret se ha convertido líder y emprendedora social, que ha estado trabajando a favor de las campesinas migrantes. Durante la pandemia del coronavirus ha estado llevando alimentos y cubre bocas dos veces por semana a esta comunidad migrante del estado. Conocida como “la Paisanita Carrión”, a sus 47 años de edad, Jeffers tiene sus objetivos muy claros: levantar la autoestima de las migrantes, mostrarles las realidades del abuso doméstico y enseñarles inglés. Es una mujer entregada al servicio de la comunidad, ha colaborado en la donación anual de 3 mil juguetes para los niños, útiles escolares, organiza eventos educativos y mantiene informada a la comunidad de las zonas rurales.


Isarert moved to the United States 23 years ago. She is originally from Leon, in the western state of Guanajuato. He directs the “Arbol” project since 2017, an effort to help the families of agricultural migrants working in central Florida.
Isaret became a leader and social entrepreneur of her community in her own right and is widely known as “La paisanita Carrión”.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Isaret, 47, has been taking masks and food twice a week to the migrant communities in Florida. And she has very clear objectives:
help as much as possible to improve auto-esteem amongst migrant women, help them identify and fight domestic abuse and teach them English. She is totally dedicated to serve her community, has collaborated in a local effort to donate thousands of toys for children in need, as well as school supplies, and she organizes educational events for communities in rural areas.
