Antonio Alarcón
Es uno de los 800.000 dreamers protegidos por el programa de Acción Diferida para los Llegados en la Infancia (DACA, por su siglas en inglés). Tiene 26 años. Nació en Veracruz, México y hace más de 10 años se convirtió en un activista que ha estado al frente de muchas iniciativas a beneficio de los derechos de la comunidad migrante. Es uno de los promotores y defensores de DACA en la corte suprema. Trabaja para Make the Road New York y durante la pandemia del coronavirus en Nueva York, creó la iniciativa Por La Gente Fund para recaudar fondos y donar tamales y despensas a familias de bajos recursos.
Antonio is one of the 800,00 “dreamers” protected by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. He was born in Veracruz, a state in the Gulf of Mexico, 26 years ago. A decade ago he became an activist that has either led or being part of several initiatives to fight and defend the rights of migrants. He is one of the defenders of DACA before the U.S. Supreme Court. He works for “Make the Road, New York”, and during the pandemic he created a fundraising initiative to get money and food to low-income families.
