Karen Arroy Zurita is a Sociologist with postgraduate studies in Mental Health. She is a defender of Human Rights, and is convinced that for the respect and exercise of her it is necessary to work complex and creative processes of education, she has a special interest in migratory and environmental issues. She has lived for years in one of the most mega diverse biosphere reserves on the planet, located in the Sierra Gorda de Queretaro, Mexico. She is currently undertaking a conservation and food security project that may well be linked to ecotourism projects that trigger local economies.
