FUERZA MIGRANTE UNVEILS SOME PRIORITIES FOR UPCOMING MONTHS

On behalf of its 150+ affiliate organizations, Fuerza Migrante today unveiled in a virtual press conference some actions, part of its agenda for the upcoming months with a view to influence the national debate as the United States prepares to a national election on November 3rd, 2020.
The intention is to make sure that issues that Fuerza Migrante considers paramount for the defense and empowerment of Mexican American communities in the United States, take center stage in the political agenda at the local, state and federal levels.
These include immigration, education, economic justice, affordable access to health services, and civil and human rights. They all have critical importance for the more than 30 million Mexican Americans and other Latinos eligible to vote this year.
“We make an urgent appeal to all those seeking public office, to put the well-being of all workers in the country atop of their agendas, and to respond and compensate with concrete actions the “essential” tag put on millions of them during the current pandemic”, stated Fuerza Migrante’s Binational Council.
